Information Security Professionals,
My client and I are looking for up to three security engineers with the
following skills sets and abilities. Again, this is a very stable
client of mine in the Midwest with national exposure and up to 45
individuals working in their IT security department, corporate wide.
This is a very exciting opportunity for mid level IT security
professionals who are looking to gain experience and knowledge working
in an enterprise wide environment with a very in depth security
knowledge base to learn from.
Responsibilities:
* Following the security systems administration process fulfill
all requests to engineer and implement changes to various security
services components including intrusion detection systems, virus
scanning and prevention systems, authentication and access control
systems, audit trail management systems, and many others.
* Monitor all security event sources (audit logs and real-time
events generated by security systems) for potential malicious
activities. Conduct rudimentary attack verification and, if appropriate,
initiate the CIRT process.
* Provide 2nd and 3rd level problem resolution and troubleshooting
support for a number of security services components.
* Assess the risk and policy adherence of every security system
change request related to production security services.
* Use process management tools to track information about security
systems administration requests and security events.
* Participate in all process development activities focused on
Security System Administration and Security Event Monitoring processes.
* Author security system specific operations and management
documentation including as-build service configuration documents and
operations and management procedure documents.
Qualifications:
In depth hands-on experience in the following technologies:
* TCP/IP protocol suite including routing protocols (OSPF,
RIP, etc.)
* Sun Solaris, MS Windows 2000, and NOKIA IPSO operating
systems.
* CheckPoint FireWall-1 4.1 and NG, CheckPoint Provider-1
4.1 & NG, Cisco IOS ACL's.
* McAfee WebShield, GroupShield, VirusScan; Symantec
AntiVirus, Antivirus for Groupware, Antivirus for Gateways or other
antivirus products.
* ISS RealSecure Network Sensor, Snort, Enterasys Dragon,
or other IDS products.
* Cryptography schemes as well as Entrust, Microsoft, IBM,
or other CA/PKI technologies.
Minimum of 2 years experience in security system administration and
security monitoring work.
Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills.
Proven customer interface management and customer service skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage a large number of complex security
system change requests while ensuring a high degree of work quality.
