Description of Duties: Plan, lead, and carry out system security engineering tasks in support of larger system engineering efforts. Carry out work in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Assist in developing system Concept of Operations; integrate security policies. Establish and draft system specifications that meet security architectural and technical needs. Design security policies, develop high-level and detailed security technical requirements, and devise security architecture for new DoD information systems, such as the Transformational Communications System and the DoD Teleport. Carry out vulnerability assessments of candidate communication system architectures; devise technologies and select products, as needed, to mitigate security vulnerabilities. As trusted government agent, carry out technical evaluations of vendor proposals, make selection recommendations. Work closely with sponsor to identify opportunities for follow-on-tasking. Skills/Experience: Required: US Citizen, MS or equivalent degree in EE, physics, math, or related field and a minimum of 7-10 years of related experience. Good organizational skills, the ability to work independently, outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work as a member of and or lead a multi-organization technical team. Desired: Current government security clearance, entrepreneurial work ethic, familiarity with Intelligence Community or DoD sponsors.
