My client is a Professional Services firm located in Northern, VA. This 65- person firm has been in business over ten years, is profitable and is planning to double in size over the next year. With a recent infusion of $4 mil in VC funding and a $3 mil line of credit they have the resources to prosper. Title: Director of Professional Services (Application Security) Salary: $120K-$163K base (depending on experience) + Options Location: Dulles, VA. (Paid Relocation) Responsibility: Oversee the Application Security consulting team of currently 12 staff, expected to increase to 36 in the next 12 months. This group identifies technical strategies for minimizing application software vulnerabilities. Typical consultant activities include meeting with client's technical staff to understand the architecture of the application, performing application security audits, software source code reviews using automated vulnerability testing tools and manual review of code and providing risk mitigation strategies. Requirements: Experience running a security services practice (application or network) with responsibility for resource management and staff utilization. Preference to candidates who have worked as a manager in the security professional services practice at a firm like Accenture, PwC, AMS, Ernst & Young, Booz Allen etc.. or at a boutique firm like Foundstone, @stake, WhiteHat Security, etc.. Significant experience assessing security issues, managing technology risks and handling customer expectations. Ability to provide staff leadership, solutions definition and client leadership.
