System Security Engineer
Candidates seeking this position should have extensive experience in
complex process engineering and design; process documentation; quality
assurance; NDS & Win32 user administration, Host-Based Intrusion
Detection; Threat/Vulnerability Management and
Compliance (Standards) Monitoring.
�Candidates must have a strong understanding of information security
practices, and best practices in information security policy and
procedures.
�Candidate will need to have experience using PERL and VB scripting and
limited web development skills (HTML, Coldfusion, etc.).
�Candidate must have strong verbal communication and technical writing
skills.
�And, must be a strong team player.
Required Skills:
� Extensive experience with Novell Directory Services (NDS v 8.5.1)
� Extensive experience with Novell Console One (v 1.2+) or NwAdmin32
� Extensive experience with NT 4.0 and Windows2000 server environ. t
� Experience with Visual Basic scripting and PERL scripting;HTML
development and XML development. Also Lotus Notes
� Experience with Microsoft Access Experience with SQL
� Experience with Microsoft Excel Experience with Bindview's bv-
control or Axent's ESM(v5.1) security reporting toolsets.
Scope of Work:
�Consultant position required to perform process documentation, process
engineering, test, evaluation and deployment of
security-related applications.
�Primary focus of effort will be involved in the process design,
evaluation, automation, operationalizing current Compliance Monitoring,
Vulnerability Management and Host-Based Intrusion Detection efforts.
�Candidate may also be required to perform security auditing and issue
resolution at the Win32, Novell and NDS platform level.
�Must be able to perform risk analysis on exception data and processes;
assist in exception identification and process troubleshooting.
Job requires a Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related discipline
or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which
comparable knowledge and skills may be acquired; five years of security
engineering / administration experience or network administration
experience; one year of security
experience on Novell and W2K/NT systems; and computer security risk
assessment and analysis experience.
