Security Operations Manager, UK based - to �70k + car allowance + health + pension + bonus
Key Accountabilities: * Lead day-to-day activities of security operations (technical and security services) functions * Provide operational security support and security services for UK & Europe * Assist in identification, investigation & follow-up of technical security incidents * Develop/enhance relationship with other parts of IT and the business * Manage vulnerability assessment processes and ensure high-risk vulnerabilities are resolved. * Manage quarterly external and daily internal perimeter testing and ensure all high risk issues are resolved within agreed timescales * Provide accurate and timely operational security reporting and assist with responses to internal and external audits. * Manage relationships with operational suppliers * Monitor and improve security operations team performance * Lead network security reviews and ensure high risk issues are resolved within agreed timeframe * Manage, monitor and ensure correct change control procedures exist for internal firewalls, IDS, Mailsweeper * Support the Head of IT Security and other members of the security management team in agreed projects and activities Key Experience * Educated to degree level in a computing subject * At least 10 years solid IT experience, ideally encompassing development, operations and project management * Ideally 2 years experience in IT or information security * Significant previous experience of managing and leading diverse teams and getting them to deliver against objectives * Ideally previous banking / regulated business experience * Able to demonstrate a track record of success in previous roles * Previous experience of working in fast moving, highly demanding environments * Previous supplier management experience * Previous experience of managing 'difficult' people and situations Whilst I have a strong preference for applicants who are current based in a EU country all applicants with a proven track record in a similar role within a retail financial services company will be considered.
