Date Posted: June 5th, 2003 Position Title: Information Security Audit Engineer Location: New York Metro Job Description: CipherTechs, Inc is seeking a qualified information security professional for a full-time position with great opportunity for professional growth within this expanding organization. The position’s main focus will be to provide clients with information security audit services with focus on Internet-based applications and infrastructure. Prior experience in the InfoSec audit filed is required. This opportunity will offer great learning experience and professional development through exposure to many diverse client environments and challenges. Training and research will be provided and encouraged. Requirements: Candidates must be able to demonstrate, via discussion, work samples and references, his/her ability to work through the complete cycle of information security audit delivery: * Pre-sales assistance in project requirements gathering, time estimates, client interaction, and proposal writing. * Technical audit delivery and coordination with client representatives. * Presentation of audit findings via creation of a written report and oral presentation. Furthermore, detailed understanding of security principles in the following areas is required: network security, authentication, encryption, event auditing, security policy and vulnerability testing. Qualifications: To apply the candidate must have following skills: * Strong information technology auditing and technical skills related to penetration testing, security administration, risk assessment, firewall and application design and general security tools and controls. * Strong communication skills required to write a professional report to communicate the audit findings. Ability to both summarize the findings to high level management and to provide detail technical discussion to client’s technical staff. * Minimum 3 year of information security consulting experience focusing on information security audits. * Through understanding of diverse business environments as related to IT risk assessment and management methodologies. * CISA, CISSP certification preferred. * Understanding of operating system and application security configuration and best practices in Windows and UNIX environment. * Knowledge and experience with design, implementation and support of various information security products a plus. * Ability to audit HTML, ASP, C, Perl and Unix shell script code a plus. * Knowledge of available Information Security resources, common security issues, risks and means of alleviating them. Location: The candidate will work with company’s clients in the New York Metro area. Some travel may be required. Benefits: Full medical and dental benefits.
