My client is looking for a seasoned practice manager with sound understanding of complex information security matters. Exceptional experience and expertise in all aspects of information security including, but not limited to, information security architecture, infosec policy, procedure and controls, attack & penetration testing, application testing, information security program gap analysis, incident response and best practices (e.g. ISO 17799, NIST). Expert level understanding of information security processes both from a tactical as well as strategic level with the ability to establish formal methodologies, promote best practices, and oversee the construction of state-of-the-art facilities for information security efforts on behalf of our client base. Strong proposal development and presentation skills coupled with understanding of relationship selling techniques.
The practice leader will be responsible for:
• The development of an overall practice methodology and blueprint.
• The analysis and deployment of best practices applicable to information security based consulting initiatives.
• Development of new offering sets in-line with business need and market direction.
• Ongoing analysis of industry technology trends in information security to function as a sounding-board to senior management.
• All proposal development and review efforts in coordination and with the cooperation of internal and external business teams.
• Day-to-day management of the NY information security team with ongoing recruitment for additional hires for tactical and strategic business needs.
• Development and presentation of white-papers, published reports, and articles relevant to the field of information security.
This person will report to the Managing Director of the Northeast Practice
Professional Qualifications:
At least ten (10) years of experience in the area of information security with documented formal training. Demonstrable subject matter expertise in all of the following areas: firewall technology, intrusion detection systems (IDS), policy management systems, entitlement applications, virus scanning technologies, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), incident response, email filtering and anti-spam systems, and security management frameworks.
Industry certifications considered valuable to this position include: CISSP, GISO
Work efforts will be focused to NY metropolitan area. Travel will be required from time-to-time.
