One of A.C.Coy Company's strategic partners in the Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania area has an immediate need for an Mid-level IT Auditor.

Clients internal audit group is responsible for providing an objective
and professional evaluation of internal control systems, and to
recommend and advise on improvements in control systems, business
processes and the economical use of resources for the company's
operating locations, support services and outsourcing arrangements. The
internal audit group is an ideal entry point to Client for highly
motivated individuals as it offers extensive exposure to Client Business
Units and to the company's financial philosophies and practices. The
group's current areas of focus include: 
�       Evaluating the internal controls of business processes for the
company's operating locations, support services and outsourcing
arrangements 
�       Providing recommendations to location and Executive Management
on improving the control environment and increasing operational
efficiencies 
�       Providing internal consulting to further contribute to business
unit and company performance 
�       Consulting on process improvements and other management requests

�       Transferring knowledge throughout the company through best
practice sharing 
�       Continually improving the audit process for the benefit of
customers (e.g., Self-Assessment revisions, development of new
self-assessment tools) 
Audit's customers are Clients Audit Committee, Clients top executives -
corporate leaders and BU leaders - Presidents and CFOs, External
Auditors, and location management. 

IT Auditors will report to the IT Audit Manager and contribute to the
projects listed above, as well as new projects. New auditors in the
group will be expected not only to execute on existing activities, but
improve upon processes and approaches. 

While career paths are specific to each individual, the general path is
for individuals to spend 24-36 months in audit, contributing to key
projects and developing a network among management. Subsequent to the
position as IT auditor, candidates could be placed in financial audit
positions and global information systems leadership positions in
Client's business units (BU's). Candidates will drive placement choices
equally with corporate and BU managers. 

Experiences and character traits desirable for the position: 
�       The incumbent reports to the IT Audit Manager who in turn
reports to the Audit Director. This position does not have any
supervisory accountability, but will frequently be required to lead
audit teams. 
�       The incumbent needs to effectively lead others in developing an
understanding of the IT environment being audited, including businesses
and functions as necessary, in order to fairly and objectively assess
controls. 
�       The incumbent must be able to assimilate and logically analyze
information and make recommendations in relatively limited time frames.
Due to the highly interactive mode with customers and team members, the
incumbent must have the ability to facilitate positive responses and
actions through written and verbal communication skills. 
�       It is essential that candidates have strong analytical and
critical thinking skills, are excellent communicators both verbally and
written, and works effectively with a wide variety of people. It is also
desirable that the candidate is open to relocation after a period of
time in audit. Regarding experience, it is recommended that candidates
have a information technology background for this position. The
incumbent must demonstrate technical audit skill levels to perform
complex audits, particularly Client's primary IT platforms and systems
(i.e., ERP applications, eCommerce, Unix, Windows NT/2000, Oracle, etc.
Database and querying skills are also a plus. 
�       The incumbent will be required to develop or modify audit work
programs and frequently provide functional guidance and direction to
less experienced audit professionals. 
�       The incumbent will also be expected to transfer knowledge in the
form of suggestions to improve Internal Audit processes and to help
other department members meet Internal Audit's mission. 

He/she will be required to travel to company locations, many of which
are manufacturing environments.

Travel: 50%
A bachelor's degree is required, as well as 4 to 6 years of audit
experience
