We are looking for someone that is ready to take their career to the next 
level.  The incumbent will need to have an in depth knowledge on the 
technical side, and familiarity with the policy & legal side as well.  
He/She will be responsible for network forensics analysis, both real time 
and historical, as well as network incident management and follow-up.


-Detecting, identifying and investigating network intrusions & attempted 
network intrusions using protocol analysis and some automated tools
-Researching and maintaining proficiency in many of the tools, techniques 
and countermeasures available today (both UNIX and Win32, GPL or 
Commercial)
-Creating custom scripts to automate tasks through the use of PERL and C 
-In depth knowledge of IP, TCP, UDP, ICMP 
-Experience working with outside agencies (external CSIRTs, law 
enforcement), as well as working with internal groups such as legal and 
Public Relations.
-Previous participation in the creation of a CIRT capability, to include 
policy development.
-Good knowledge of routing / switching
-Experience with evidence seizure, evidence preservation and chain of 
custody.
-Expert knowledge of web applications and interdependencies

Qualifications/Education

-CISSP preferred
-SANS GIAC (GCIA/H) preferred.
-Minimum of 8 years in IT
-4 years recent UNIX (Linux / Solaris)
-2-3 years recent Windows (2000, XP)
-Expert level knowledge of Enterprise security (Firewalls, NIDS, HIDS, 
Vulnerability/Risk assessment)
-Minimum 3 years experience in a network security forensics capacity.
-Minimum 2 years experience participating in a Computer Security Incident 
Response Team (preferably in a lead capacity)
-Bachelors degree in Computer Science and/or InfoSec preferred but not 
required
