I realise that when you go from the US and Canada to Europe that you need a 
converter to allow your 110 appliances to be used on 220 (or 240).

However, I lived in the Middle East and bought TVs etc there and have now 
returned to North America.  Naturally the manuals are gone!  I THINK that 
you don't need a converter - just a different plug - to use 220 appliances 
on our 110 current.  Am I right?

I would hate to try it and find out that I am wrong!!  No one here knows.
