Hi, I hope someone on here has a legal background or is an attorney or knows
an attorney. I would like to find out some information. Or is there a
website that could answer this question quickly? If someone is served with a
paper that states, the plaintiff is asking for an Order granting temporary
relief as follows: custody, child support, visitation, insurance and mutual
restraining order ------- Few pages later these demands are spelled out in
detail. The person is not understanding if this is divorce papers or what?
She sees nowhere in these papers the word divorce only an Order granting
temporary relief. The papers are just like getting a divorce because they
state a division of marital property and child support, etc just like in a
divorce, but the word divorce is not in the papers. So, she does not
understand if these are divorce papers or what? Is there another process she
must go through to get a divorce, besides this one? Please I hope someone
could help me out. THanks Melissa
