Hi Ruth! I have a few sites for you, and being that I'm a nurse, I can tell you that
that MA or "SMA" isn't all that obscure. It's not COMMON, but it is a form of Muscular
Dystrophy.
Anyway, here are some links. Let me know if ya want more :o)

I'm trying to help a friend who's just been diagnosed with Primary Muscular Atrophy.
It's apparently an obscure disease (condition?). She needs to find whatever
information there might be on this including experimental treatments. I don't think
that the usual search engines help (esecially if they are paid ones to get higher on
the search list). Does anyone know of any posible sites and/or "deep web search"
engines
that I might be able to use? Thanks so much for any help and all effort expended.
Ruth
