ok. here's some resources for ya. I started with the first three. I 
literally printed out the information to use as a reference. I'd 
recommend it.

Introduction to HTML

HTML Writers Guild

Once you get to know the basic codes AND understand how to 
use them, then you can use the Bare Bones Guide to HTML. This 
is what I use now when I'm stuck.

I bought  HTML FOR DUMMIES Quick Reference (2nd Edition). 
Kinda outdated now but it showed me how each tag worked. I'd get 
the current edition if I were you. Oh yeah, I rarely use this now but 
it's still on the shelf and is well-worn.
