One of the main problems with paperback books, of course, is that with hard
use the covers get all beat up, then pages start coming out in clumps.
When I was in college (40 years ago, just to put things in historical
perspective) I could buy at the the college bookstore a set of stick-on
heavy-duty cover covers. They came with a piece of translucent tape about
two inches wide for sticking on the spine. They sure kept the p/b books I
carried around a lot in useable shape.
Not only can I not find them at the local j/c bookstore (there's only
one)--I can't turn them up on the Internet.
I can hardly believe that there is no longer a demand for such a useful
item. Anybody know where I can buy the nowadays?
Thanks in advance.
