As I understand it, a theist (?) says:
"I believe that God exists."
An atheist says:
"I believe that God does not exist."
An agnostic says:
"I do not know whether or not there is a God, and there is no way I can
know."
I suppose that a "militant" agnostic is one who aggressively promotes his
belief to others - sort of a mirror image of an evangelistic Christian.
