Not a substance to dabble with!  I was ill for 8 months following a Halon 
fire extinguisher use for a kitchen fire in 1991!

Phosgene kills, not only in large quantities, but also in the smaller 
quantities that lie un-activated in Halon extinguishers.  :o(
