Oh, I forgot to add that, Window's sound recorder has a default sound limit.  
In order to make a wav the length you need for most songs, you need to push 
record and when it gets to the end of the default limit, drag the slide bar 
back and it will lengthen the default. DO this until you have a blank sample 
of at least 300 seconds. Then,  save the blank sample as a stencil. I named 
mine SongStencil and I reused it over and over again.
