Greetings Everyone:

I missed the beginning of this discussion and just saw these postings.

Nutrasweet is literally a poison -- see Dr. Russell Blaylock's book,
"Excitotoxins - The Taste That Kills." There's a list of some 92 symptoms
which were reported by users to the FDA from headaches, to grand mal
seizures, to diabetes, to death. Don't take my word for it. Check out
www.dorway.com, www.aspartamekills.com, www.sweetpoison.com. See what
independent studies have been done. Locate aspartame detoxification centers
which have begun to spring up around the country to help people who have been
poisoned by aspartame.

As to Splenda -- see http://www.mercola.com/2000/dec/3/sucralose_dangers.htm
There are concerns for diabetics as well as a list of possible problems.

As to Stevia -- there are sources of this in powdered form and extract which
are not bitter and which (at least the powdered form) do not taste like
licorice. Stevia is "approved" by the FDA as a nutritional supplement. I've
heard a tape from a leading Stevia researcher where it is apparently a very
beneficial addition to one's diet. I have read that more than 50% of the
foods in Japan contain Stevia.

I urge you to check those websites above for information NOT coming from the
manufacturers of these products.

Sincerely,
Carol Faust
