I think the best way to answer your question, George, is to show you
how to get your answer.

Go to the book sites and enter the following phrase in their onsite
search boxes:

political novel

This will give you a good listing at Barnes and Noble, Amazon,
Borders and most any other online book store.

I found a web site where some political novels are listed:

~~

Here is a book that specifically examines political fiction in
American Literature:

"Political Fiction and the American Self"

Here is another site that might give you some ideas:

As to the classic political novels of old you might find at the free
ebooks sites such as gutenberg.net, The Bronte sisters come to mind
who wrote some books with political overtones, such as Charlotte
Bronte's "Jane Eyre" which contained both social and political
overtones.

Jonathan Swift's satirical novels contained political subjects as
well. "Gulliver's Travels" comes to mind:

Charles Dickens "A Tale of Two Cities" was political intrigue at it's
best.

Visit Gutenberg.net and see if you can find other political novels.
