If it would help the expert finders in any way, here is a tantalizing clue
that I located with reference to the CD "Melodies francaises en duo"

http://musicweb.uk.net/classrev/2001/Feb01/pelleas.htm

"Le Roux has become well known in UK in opera (Birtwistle's Gawain) and
recital; Alliot-Lugaz less so. I believe I wrote some of the first
reviews of Le
Roux and his regular pianist Jeff Cohen in a series of CDs for REM
Editions
of Lyon, and hailed his arrival as a successor to Gerard Souzay. Try
to hear
the three of them together in Mlodies franaises en duo, a
thoroughly
enjoyable and happy selection of Faur, Duparc, Massenet, Debussy,
Saint-Saens, Gounod, Lalo, Satie, Poulenc, Chausson & Bizet REM
311086
      (1989). "

So that's the CD I'm trying to track down, just in case some have thought
it a mere will' o' wisp. I hope this helps some more expert than because it
led only to a dead end for me.

A - losing hope in Canada
