Alan, I had already tried the "trial membership offer" but had no luck with
the limited search offered on that basis, so as you suggested, I checked
out Schwann Opus. The cost of a 1 year membership is **$199. U.S.**(about
$300 Canadian <gulp>). My pockets are not that deep!

Unfortunately, there is a particular track on the "Melodies francaises en
duo" REM recording that I am lusting after, so no matter how delightful the
above collection is and I did listen to all the available samples, it does
not seem to contain the particular song that I am seeking :>(
