I would reinstall Outlook Express 5. The DIRECTDB.DLL is probably corrupted. Another way is to search for that DLL at a site, including MS. I used to have a DLL site. Rename DIRECTDB.DLL to DIRECTDB1.DLL and install. If it works, delete DIRECTDB.DLL. That approach worked for me before. John Penasack
