Something that I use is the Timex Data Link watch, which interfaces
to Microsoft's Schedule+ (part of the Microsoft Office suite). It
will download alerts into a data bank watch, and will signal at a
time you set. Alerts and reminders can be reviewed while in the data
bank. Of course, the output is text, not voice. Unfortunately,
editing of the data can't be done in the watch--it's necessary to
return to Microsoft Schedule+ to do that. However, if you're good at
programming, you could probably build in that kind of functionality,
since the Data Link does accept downloaded programs.

Current Timex Data Linkk specifications can be found at:
http://www.timex.com/html/data_link.html .

If this is appealing, the best prices that I've found on watches are
at: http://www.wristwatch.com . Mine ran just a bit over $100.

Possibly. I suggest searching the patent database at:
