Our ability to help you may be limited by language barriers. In making
some initial searches for you, I realized that my inability to read
German would be a hinderance.

The Deutche Welle site is here:

http://www.dwelle.de/

You might look for a link to archives or find a contact address to
write for assistance in located that documentary you saw.

In 1992, Russia and the US entered into a Joint Commission On Prisoners
of War and Missing in Action "to search for former Soviet and American
servicemen who had been taken prisoner or reported missing in action in
the period from World War II to the present day."

Possibly Germany has entered into a similar agreement. You might try
to contact the American Office in Russia and enquire if they are aware
of any German/Russian Joint Commission on WWWII POW's. Here is an
e-mail address you can write:

There are many POW resources on the web in regards to American POW's.
For German POW's of WWII, I think one will have to set the search
engines for the German language.

See your SeeknFind web page. The search form gateways to the AltaVista
and Hotbot search engines can be set to search on the German language.

I'll continue to look for you, as time permits.
