Helo fellow listers I am in need of some creative help in a lottery like
odds!
I have a longstanding question which I will try to condense as much as
possibile:
My dad vent missing in WW II, he was a soldier in Wermacht ,last tour of
duty was in Stalingrad campaign under gen,Paulsen he was taken POW by
soviets and dispatched to camp in Sibiria
There were numerous indication that he survived the end of war. I would at
least like to find out what happened to him, because I newer knew him.
Question: Where can I get insight into the Wermacht's Siberian POW records.
Something else: two years ago I actually saw my dads picture on a reportage
as one of still misssing Wermacht POW from Russian campaign, I am certain of
it, there was even his first and last name with it, but it went of the
screen so fast there was nothing I could do. The documentary reportage was
from Deutche Welle Sattelite broadcasting Munchen/Bayern Archives.
Any help will be appreciated
