I've used "The Mining Company" a number of times. It takes a
while to zero in on the product you're interested in, but then
it has reviews of competing products, a buying 'guide' on
features and 'failings' to be on the lookout for; much like
"Consumer Reports" - then when you've decided on the brand and
model you want - it'll give you a list of quite a few online
retailers with their prices.
