I've come upon this thread in the middle, due to having my own problems
which locked my computer permanently into DOS, but having solved this and
re-installed Windows 95, there are a couple of things I found out which may
be of interest.

An Iomega Zip Drive when properly installed includes a back-up facility
which stores everything on the hard drive onto Zip Disks (my 1GB HD uses 4 x
100 MB Zip Disks).

If a Zip Drive is installed in Windows, it can be accessed in "pure" DOS
(Command Prompt) by typing at the DOS prompt:
c:\iomega\guest. You should then see "Looking for letter for your Iomega
drive", followed by "Your Iomega drive is <drive letter>". This then gives
access to the Zip Drive. NOTE: The "c:\iomega\guest" command should NOT be
put in the autoexec.bat file as this inhibits the Zip Drive's right click
facilities in Windows Explorer.

After a frantic five days of problem solving I upgraded from IE4 to IE5.
I've had a few teething problems with Outlook Express 5, so if this message
does not arrive intact or in the wrong format would someone let me know.
