When I did similar work in the US we used perforated casing that was 
available from the people the do irrigation in the farms. The holes were 
about 3 cm in dia and every 10 to 15 cm apart. The relationship with 
Resistivity was felt to be related to the size of the array with respect the

separation of the holes. We were using a pole-dipole array the was several 
times the separation, so it looked OK.
