Folks,

This was a PR announcement of a management
presentation on a company website, describing an
in-house technical development. Its primary
purpose was to keep the shareholders happy
(and maybe recruit some new ones). It was not a
technical paper submitted to Geophysics. Nor are
they trying to sell the technology as an
instrument or a service. Just company shares.

Anyone who thinks a major mining company is going
to say or show any more than BHP did show, is not
in the real world. You won't see raw data, scales
or anything else of the sort. Just the occasional
teaser pretty picture. And contractor responses
trying to undermine the PR are themselves PR.

Of course contractors offering a similar product
are interested. Of course the rest of us are too.
But we'll probably stay that way, i.e. interested
but not informed, for some time yet.

What we do know is that the long-awaited BHP gravity
gradiometer system is up and working and producing
useful results. That's all folks......
