The position is based in Lima, Perú and will provide support and leadership in the use of geophysics in exploration programs in Perú. Successful candidates will have a MS or Honors degree in Geophysics and 4 to 6 years experience in mineral exploration and want the opportunity to extend themselves and work effectively in an exploration team. The position will involve the planning, implementation, interpretation and integration of geophysics to all exploration projects undertaken in Perú. Experience is preferred in a range of commodities, geological environments and techniques. Field work undertaken by the geophysicist will principally involve supervision, in-field processing and interpretation of data. Time-management and an ability to communicate geophysical results and concepts to other members of the team are very important. Knowledge of Oasis, Modelvision, Emvision and inversion packages for electrical geophysics is essential. A good background in ERMAPPER and MAPINFO would be desirable.
