Hello all,

Recall that Shackleton's crew took magnetic measurements (dip-meter ?) in
the earlier stages of his ill-fated Antarctic voyage in 1914-16, so you have
an excellent precedent set there.

Notwithstanding his fortitude in leading his crew to safety despite
appalling conditions, we trust you will not encounter such hardships & maybe
this is the right moment for us from the comparative safety of our offices
to wish this effort every good luck.
