Dear Colleagues: We have been informed that email/Internet service with the USGS has been intentionally shut down by the US Dept of Interior, the USGS's parent organization. This is due to complications involving a lawsuit against the Dept of Interior and certain senior employees of the department. Apparently all Dept of the Interior web sites are off-line and USGS staff can neither send or receive email from the outside using their USGS accounts.
