Dear Colleagues:

The following query was posted recently on the Gravity/Mag list server and I
felt it might be of interest for the SEGMin community as well.

Rather than distribute possible replies back through the list server, could
you please correspond directly to Mr. Soule at [EMAIL PROTECTED] as he posted
the initial query.

Regards

A member of the OR State Board of Geologists asked me to offer an opinion on
the Electrokinetic - Seismic (also called electroseismic, etc.) method of
groundwater investigations as described by the following web site:

Electrokinetic/Electroseismic Non-intrusive Aquifer Quality Mapping

Since I am not qualified to pass judgment on their claims I am soliciting
opinions from the geophysical community.

This company is selling "franchises" (as told to me by the above member) to
use their methods and equipment. There is an individual in OR that is
selling this service (his education is in law enforcement).

I have talked to some other geophysicists and read some recent papers on
this method. My impression is that this method is still in the R&D mode and
not yet developed to the point where it can be used routinely as an applied
geophysical tool.
Am I wrong?

I would appreciate feedback from geophysicists qualified to comment on this
subject.

Thank you,
Ralph Soule
