Helsinki University of Technology is organising the following course which may be of interest to the grvmag list members: ***Advanced Potential Field Data Processing, Including Wavelets*** Time: 2-5 December 2002 Venue: Helsinki University of Technology, Espoo, Finland Principal Lecturer: Dr Gordon Cooper, University of Witwatersrand *Course Contents* Monday Dec 2nd: FFT Based Signal Processing Tuesday Dec 3rd: Wavelet Based Signal Processing Wednesday Dec 4th: Feature Detection in Geophysical Imagery Thursday Dec 5th: Alternative Data Processing Approaches The course will focus on concepts and applications. Practical sessions will be included to reinforce material covered in the presentations. Course handout material will be provided to the participants. A more detailed List of Contents for the course is available on request. The course is free of charge to Finnish students, for other participants the registration fee is euros 80. Travel grants for participant students from Scandinavian and Baltic countries have been applied.
