Subject: [EM3DWRK:17] G.W. Hohmann scholarship

Gerald W. Hohmann SEG Foundation Undergraduate and Graduate Scholarships

The trustees of the Gerald W. Hohmann Memorial Trust would like to
encourage students of geophysics to apply for the SEG Foundation Hohmann
undergraduate and graduate scholarships.

The G.W. Hohmann undergraduate and graduate awards are restricted to
students whose course of study is directed toward a degree in geophysics
with an emphasis in electrical or electromagnetic methods. The term of
each scholarship is one academic year; however, the scholarship is
renewable subject to the maintenance of the recipient's scholastic
standing, availability of funds, and the continuance on the part of the
recipient of a course of study acceptable to the Foundation and one
which will lead toward a career in geophysics.

Any Recognized College or University that offers courses of study in
geophysics or a closely related field may be chosen by the recipients.
The Hohmann scholarships can be awarded by SEG to students in recognized
colleges or universities in countries other than the United States.

Applications and Supporting Documents Must Be Received by March 1, 2003.
Forms may be obtained from the SEG Foundation, PO Box 702740, Tulsa, OK
74170-2740, USA, or downloaded from the SEG Web site.
