For those who attended the PDAC conference and have not yet heard, a conference attendee from the Sudbury, Ontario area was diagnosed last night with coronavirus. The Canadian health authorities advise that all attendees self-monitor for symptoms for 14 days and seek medical attention if need be.
The person is a man in his 50's who attended the PDAC on March 2-3. His workplace is apparently the Willet Green Miller Center (i.e. home of the Ontario Geological Survey and Laurentian University Earth Sciences Department). Also, apparently the person had been in Switzerland prior to the conference. I'm not being alarmist here, just a head's-up. Cheers! Stephen
