I'm not a big fan of "autonomous" -- perhaps its because I don't use "autonomous" on a everday basis, but I don't readily the connection between that and the "TestRunner mode".
I can't spell "autonomous" right on the first try either. I'm copy/pasting right now. :-) I'd suggest "user mode". Or "interactive mode". And perhaps change "driven" to "script mode", though just as a minor tweak--"driven" is fine. - Stephen > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > On Behalf Of Mike Williams > Sent: Saturday, October 08, 2005 8:30 AM > To: selenium-devel@lists.public.thoughtworks.org > Subject: [Selenium-devel] finding a better name for the > "TestRunner" mode > > We're yet to find a better term to describe the "TestRunner" > mode of operation, ie. the one that's not "driven" by an > external script. > (Yeah, that old can of worms.) > > It would be nice if it were another adjective, for symmetry > with "Driven". > > Do any of these stick? > - Simple mode > - Dumb mode > - Autonomous mode > - Served mode > > I quite like "Autonomous", myself. > > -- > cheers, MikeW > http://www.dogbiscuit.org/mdub/ > _______________________________________________ > Selenium-devel mailing list > Selenium-devel@lists.public.thoughtworks.org > http://lists.public.thoughtworks.org/mailman/listinfo/selenium-devel > _______________________________________________ Selenium-devel mailing list Selenium-devel@lists.public.thoughtworks.org http://lists.public.thoughtworks.org/mailman/listinfo/selenium-devel
