Did you look into the Import Vocabulary function in SMW ?

http://semantic-mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Import_vocabulary

I have had reasonable success using this to add FOAF mappings to both RDF
export and the RAP triple store for SPARQL queries. In both cases, the new
mappings show up with the correct namespaces and URIs.

I have not looked at importing RDF into the wiki though, so I cannot comment
about 'before' and 'after'.

We are using our wiki to author metadata for a Linked Data application
workflow. It doesn't sound all that far from what you are trying to do
(except we are doing it behind a firewall that is).

Try the new software tools for yourself. Speed compiling, find bugs
proactively, and fine-tune applications for parallel performance.
