Well, maybe. But rdf-files are delivered in a way that disables syntax 
highlighting (at least in Firefox) -- it becomes quite unreadble if you want 
to browse it. So we chose .xml which also displays nicely in a browser. Maybe 
we should:

(1) Provide both, which might lead to some confusion.
(2) Configure our web server to deliver .rdf files with another mime type, 
similar to the existing rdf-export.
(3) Switch to rdf and ignore the browser display, file a bug for Firefox and 
other affected browsers.

Maybe I will go for a combination of (2) and (3).
