Hi all,

Semantic MediaWiki now uses the Mediazilla Bugtracker of MediaWiki [1]. The
old SourceForge system will stay enabled for some time since there might be
links to it in various places.

* When submitting a bug to the new system, please select the
product "MediaWiki extensions" [2] and component "Semantic MediaWiki". You
will need to get an account once for submitting bugs. You can also assign the
bug to [email protected] so email is sent to this list.

* To directly find all bugs/requests submitted for SMW, you can use the
advanced search [3]. After registering, you will be able to "remember"
searches you once performed, so especially developers can store the SMW
search. It will then appear in your toolbar and can be edited via your
preferences.

* You can now link to SMW bugs from basically any MediaWiki installation by
just writing something like [[mediazilla:4525]] to link to the bug of that
number.

I am not sure yet how the new system behaves in general. Developers might need
to request further permissions to be able to close bugs etc., or it might be
possible for any registered user to do this.

Using Mediazilla improves our integration with MediaWiki development, and
enables us to interrelate SMW bugs to issues with other components. And as
the Mediazilla home says: "it's easier to manage, easier to search, easier to
read than the old tracker."

Cheers,

Markus
