Hi,
o Duane Larson [09/17/09 22:27]:
I have gotten Voicemail and Voicebox working, but now I want to set up
SEMS so that when they dial the voicemail server to check their messages
they are given a prompt and asked if they want to check voicemail
messages, listen to current greeting, or re-record greeting.
How do I go about this or is there any documentation? Would I need to
create a voicemail IVR or is this something that is already built into
voicemail and I am just missing it.
out of the box it is currently only possible to do this with different
dial-in numbers.
You can easily add a menu to the voicebox application, and the recording
prompt functionality from the annrecorder application. See
VoiceboxCallState in VoiceboxDialog.h, and VoiceboxDialog::onDtmf
function, and how current greeting is played back and recorded in
AnnRecorder.cpp. Patches to the voicebox application integrating the two
are welcome.
Note that DSM application was written to make development and
customization of these type of applications simpler and faster; a
complete voicemail system with message list in DB would take about 1.5
days to implement, but there is so far unfortunately no (open source)
one available.
