Stefan,
Is there a plan to address issue “000023: SEMS should decode CNG packets
and generate CN”? If so, will it be available soon? Is there an interim
yes, but not before 1.3 release.
patch that can be applied? We are experiencing distorted cracks and pops
in the recorded audio during periods of silence (in sems 1.1.1). As far
as I’m aware there aren’t any changes in 1.2.1 that would address this,
but I could be wrong.
have you tried 1.2? there was a fix for a related issue long time ago;
I don't know whether before or after 1.2.
Also, make sure that - if you are recording only, i.e. not recording
in a conference or relayed call - you can set playout buffer type to
simple (fifo) buffering (rtp_str.setPlayoutType(SIMPLE_PLAYOUT) ).
Otherwise, the buffering may be trying to make up for non-existing
audio in the beginning.
Additionally, tried to work around issue by using spandsp-0.0.6pre17
plugin, but cannot compile it with the USE_SPANDSP_PLC flag enabled. The
following compile error is received on a number of modules (so I just
included an example from the core package). Any assistance is appreciated.
this should compile with newer spandsp and 1.2.
Anything that keeps you from updating?
Stefan
