BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said Friday a presence of
Albanian troops in northern Kosovo-Metohija was aimed at intimidating Serbs
and at further provoking Serbia.
In a move that further unsettled residents of northern Kosovo, KFOR troops,
including Albanian army soldiers, walked through North Mitrovica Thursday.
It is quite logical that people were unsettled by that, Vucic said.
"Since you are introducing Albanian troops as a part of NATO, take them for
a tour of Zrze and Djakovica, do not take them to North Mitrovica," Vucic
said in a message to NATO and KFOR.
"But there will be no drastic consequences as we have to assess all future
moves in a serious and responsible way... As far as our people are
concerned, if KFOR does not do its job, there will be someone who will,"
Vucic told reporters.
