Hill called on Belgrade to normalize relations with Pristina.

"Mutual recognition is the best way to move forward," Hill said during a
hearing before the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

He pointed out that the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, which is
conducted under the auspices of the EU, is the best way for the two sides to
resolve differences.

Hill said that the United States, together with European partners, will
continue to support the development of Serbia as a modern and prosperous
European state. "The United States remains committed to deepening bilateral
relations with Serbia, through further political, economic and security
cooperation. At a time when the two countries are celebrating 140 years of
diplomatic relations, I look forward to strengthening human relations, working
with young people in civil society and sharing the American experience in
Serbia", said Hill.

He also pointed out that his priority would be to conduct a full investigation
into the murder of the Bytyqi brothers.
