Ok, whoever is trying to charge you 300 bucks for these foglights, they are
trying to bend you over. Find a better shop. Aftermarket doesn't have to
hurry its ass up. Stuff is already out for your 99. It's still a B14.
Everything is already out. Nothing is ever an addon. Boltons are
replacements of stock parts. You get the JWT ECU, take out your stock one,
and send the stock one back to JWT and plug in your JWT ECU. Thats all
there is to it. Obviously you chose not to read my previous post on this.
and NO, mechanics cannot tell if it is modified or stock, it doesn't even
show up on the consult or when you get a smog check. It is a stock ECU with
a daughterboard or it is reprogrammed. I'm not remembering for sure. Maybe
only the JWT NOS ECU has the daughterboard. And no, you aren't going to be
getting anywehre close to 155 hp. More like 125 hp at the most. I dont
know where you got 45 hp from an ECU upgrade. Whoever told you that, stay
away from him too. Intake and exhaust are the two most popular upgrades.
Just get good stuff.
