Personally, I can't stand when I get replies to a post that are sent to me
AND the list. But I realize some people either don't realize they do this,
or they're just too lazy. I think it should change back to being the
list's address.
My practice when posting a reply is to send it to the list, but if I
mention the person by name, or if I feel it is better for them to get a
direct email, I will cc: them. Like if someone needed urgent help changing
a tire, and they posted to the list asking for help, I would reply to the
list, but cc: the person - what happens if they're on digest and won't get
the next one until hours later? Plus, they might delete all their list
emails, but keep emails from actual people.
I don't know, I guess I rambled too much - but my vote is to change the
"reply-to" header to the list's address.
