Hey, You are right Terrin. I used to get a thrill from racing, but then I
got a crude reality check, I just all of a sudden started thinking about the
pictures of decappitated people and all that I saw in drivers ed, and I
started slowing down. Now, I know my next ticket will be for something
stupid like, forgetting to signal, or having a tail light out, or something
like that. Racing just isn't worth getting a ticket, or getting in an
accident. I mean, what are you killing poor innocent people for? Maybe 100
bucks? And what do you get in return? A ticket, maybe an accident, and god
forbid a racer kill someone in that accident??? How many people will die
before people learn to take their racing to the track, and not the streets?
It seems like every time I go to Las Vegas, there is a Freeway race there, I
almost got hit by a Chevy Impala racing down the highway with a Buick (I
think) one night on my way home to San Diego. Scared me $#!%less. Although
the Impala looked cool and all going 120mph, what would he have gained by
getting in an accident with me at 120??? Jailtime, death, killing me?
Prision time being some lonely guy's bitch???

Regarding that accident just north of San Diego a few weeks ago, I live a
few miles south of where that accident happened, I pass it every time I go
to Temecula... it makes me scared to think that if I hadn't laid off the gas
pedal some, that could've been me. Racing some guy for my own damn selfish
pride, and killed and burned because of it. When people race, do me a
favor, call me first, because I don't want to be your next victim. Well,
that is my 2 cents.
Give us a brake... literally!
Mike
