    MIne is adjusted for the shortest throw possible. You'll have to bend 
he heat shield regardless, if you have it set for the shortest throw 
though, you'll have to cut the shield. I cut mine and there have been no 
adverse effects as of yet! The install isn't difficult, however it can be 
time consuming. In my case the studs that hold the boot in place got 
stripped and I had to trill them out! This took a while. If everything goes 
well it should take you about 2 hours.
