If you are referring to the post on quoting, the subject is almost meaningless
when trying to figure out what the reply is in reference to when nothing is
quoted. There have been over 10 posts to this thread today: you could have
responded to any one of them. Threads often stray from the subject, and
sometimes branch out into two or three separate discussions. Relying on the
subject isn't very useful and if you expect people to have any idea what you
are talking about you would not either.
