One thing that you HAVE to do is make sure you add a fuel pressure regulator
to compensate for the NOS.. therefore prevent the car from running too lean.
As far as being safe... It really depends on the condition of you engine...
If you have a strong engine with no leaks... then it should be fine. I have
been running NOS for about 4 1/2 years with absolutely no problems...
